Echocardiogram / Echocardiogram with Doppler and color flow
PREPARATION: None
Ask your physician what medications you should take the day of the study.
Allow 1 hour.
Echocardiogram with Doppler and Saline injection
PREPARATION: None
Ask your physician what medications you should take the day of the study.
Allow 1 to 1 ½ hours.
Stress Echocardiography / Dobutamine Stress Echocardiography
PREPARATION:
Fasting for at least 4 hours prior to the test.
Ask your physician what medications you should take the day of the study.
Off beta blockers, calcium channel blockers or any negative chronotopic medications for at least 48 hours prior to the test.
Allow 1 ½ to 2 hours.
Bring comfortable clothing to walk on the treadmill (not for Dobutamine Stress Echo).
Abdomen
Liver / Pancreas / Spleen / Renal / Gallbladder / Aorta / Kidneys / Complete survey.
PREPARATION:
Fasting from midnight.
Genital / Urinary (Quantitative Residual Bladder Volume).
Testicular
PREPARATION: None
Renal
PREPARATION
Fasting from midnight.
Bladder
PREPARATION
Drink a liter of fluids.
Thyroid Ultrasound (thyroid nodule, thyromegaly)
PREPARATION: None
Allow ½ hour at any time of the day.
Vascular
Carotids / Arterial duplex upper / lower extremities / Venous duplex upper / lower extremities Carotids

PREPARATION: None.
Arterial duplex lower extremities with exercise.
NO PREPARATION.
Bring comfortable clothing to walk the treadmill.
